Is it true that speeding tickets over there are linked to your yearly pay check? Meaning speeding with a car like this and having paid for it yourself would cost ... a lot?

Yes, it's true. Heard stories of fine's over 10.000 euro's for speeding.
On the other hand, if you are a student, it's cheap ;)
Actually..A few people had got over 100 000 € for speeding :P
